Aren't we so lucky to have been born in a timeline where there are so many memes for us to enjoy? If we were slumming it in the past, we would've had to watch TV live without reruns to hear some good jokes. Even worse, we might have had to go down to the local movie house to watch some God-awful Mickey Rooney flick about how he can't choose which girl to date. Both of those sound like unenviable options. I'm glad I can watch TV whenever and wherever I want, watch movies from the comfort of my home, and have the secret third option of scrolling through buckets of memes all day, every day. Memes are as much of a cultural juggernaut as any TV show or movie, and I believe they are the one cultural output that will bond the citizens of the 21st century the most. If you're a memey person who loves to meme around, these memes are definitely memes.
